Day 13 | Malaysia Photos – Cameron Highlands

After Cambodia, Chris and I jetted back to Thailand because I had had a less than stellar experience in Cambodia (RIP GoPro1). I needed to replace my camera in Bangkok before spending any time in the islands. After a couple more weeks in the Land of Smiles, we decided it was time to move on to a new country. That new country was Malaysia. What I didn’t expect from Malaysia, though I should have because I really did research the country, is how large the Muslim population was. This was my first Muslim country and it was really interesting to see the differences in clothing styles. We started our Malaysia journey in Kuala Lumpur, affectionately known as KL, where the traffic is terrible but the food is CHEAP. We then rented a car and headed north to the Cameron Highlands to explore old tea plantations and stay in the tiny town of Tanah Rata.
