Day 19 | Japan Photos

After returning from Cyprus, I packed up all my belongings and drove 4 hours across the state from Seattle to my hometown of Spokane, WA. I had vowed to never return to this town, but I thought it would be the only way for me to convince my best friend to move to Australia with me in the new year. Thus, home I went. Right after arriving, my best friend and I took off on our Great Canadian road trip. When I returned from Canada, I was feeling a little stuck. I had been in Spokane for almost 2 months by the time I left for Japan.

Tokyo was incredible, but very overwhelming. It was crowded, fast-paced and swarming with great restaurants. I was traveling with a large group again, though not on an organized tour this time, so I didn’t get to see everything I wanted to see in Tokyo, but I still got the gist of what the city was about.

After a week in Tokyo, my friend Tanya and I ventured out to visit Kyoto and Osaka. I was in love with Osaka. The city is large enough to provide everything you could ever need, but it didn’t feel overly crowded or crazy like Tokyo had. Kyoto was a lot more relaxed and though we didn’t get to spend much time there, I did enjoy my time there as well.
