Day 27 | Packing for a Working Holiday in Australia
I have never written a packing list on this site before for a couple of reasons. First, I think packing is a very personal subject, sorta like money. You shouldn’t talk about it, unless you are very close with the person asking for advice. Otherwise it will just become an argument. Second, everyone has a different style, and everyone has different wants and needs when it comes to packing and who am I to tell them that they don’t need to pack four pairs of jeans for a vacation to Thailand?
I am no packing expert, and I won’t claim to be. However, over the last year of almost full-time travel, I have developed a core list of stuff that I bring with me while I travel. It has yet to fail me, and though I still over pack and find myself throwing things out along the way, I think it is a good starting point. So what am I going to take with me to Australia?

In addition to the things on this list, I am obviously going to pack underwear, toiletries, and other necessities like a little black party dress. However, those things all fall into the category of personal needs. As I said before, you can pack as many sweaters and sundresses as you think you need for your trip. Do what makes you happy. Just remember you have to carry it all around, so less is more.
